A great video montage
I wanted to share this with all of you - to show you some of Rich's past and present hosting experience. You'll see some familiar clips as well as some you might have never seen before, but I hope you enjoy it to see that Rich does indeed have what it takes to become Bob's successor

My letter to the Big Guns
Part of Project Center Stage was letting the Powers That Be know how I feel about this great opportunity Rich has to be the next host. So late Sunday night, I wrote a letter and mailed it the next day (I wrote one letter and printed it twice - one for CBS and one for Fremantle). I tried to be as professional and honest as I could in the letter, and outlined my feelings towards all this hoopla.
Here's what I wrote:

To whom it may concern:
My name is Stephanie Saczawa. I’m 27 years old from Canada, and I’m an avid game show fan. More so, I have been a fan of The Price is Right, which you are associated with, since the age of 2 and I watch it any chance I get.
When I read the news at the end of October that Bob Barker had announced his retirement, I was like many other fans of the show shocked. Nowadays you cannot find a site, message board or chat group online without people talking about possible candidates for an eventual successor. Names such as Todd Newton, Marc Summers, Dave Price and David Ruprecht have been tossed around on many of the sites I have visited. Bob has said that whoever eventually becomes the next host needs to be personable, interact well with the contestant (be able to have fun with them), and know all the games forward and backward.
There is one possible candidate that stands out in my mind that possesses all of the above qualities that Bob has addressed, and that is current “Price” announcer Rich Fields. It was Bob himself that encouraged Rich to add his name to the list of possible successors, so it is very obvious to see that Bob believes in his abilities. Over the past two and a half years, Rich has really gotten a feel for Studio 33. He has great energy, possesses incredible charisma, knows all the 80+ games on the roster, and from what I’ve been hearing from other fans who have attended show tapings, interacts tremendously well with the audience through the energy and enthusiasm he displays in his warm-ups before the show. He has shown he already appeals to the broad demographics that make up the show’s fan base – from the young college student to the young-at-heart seniors – and they in turn have come to embrace him.
Also, who better to be the next host than a “Loyal Friend and True” (a devoted “Price” fan) himself? Rich has been a fan ever since Bob first came through the big doors, and deeply loves the show and the people he works with – thus truly establishing himself as a proud member of the “Price” family. Rich has said that there’s no better place than being at Studio 33 with a man he greatly admires and respects in Bob.
I encourage you to take a look at Rich and give him a tryout. I’m sure that he would fare extremely well with focus groups as well as with the current established fan base. He has a dream of one day being the host of his own show, and I would love nothing more than to see such a talented, hard-working person and loyal fan of the show achieve this dream.

Project Center Stage
Ever since news of Bob's retirement broke, you can't browse a message board or chat group devoted to game shows without some "talking heads" weighing in on who they think his successor would be. Names have been tossed all over the place - game show veterans, famous faces, people with connections - no matter where you look.
However, it's my opinion that a very strong candidate has been under the show's noses for the past two and a half years, and I'm talking about Rich. Believe it or not, it was Bob himself who encouraged Rich to toss his own hat into the ring; so it's very obvious that the Man Himself believes in him.
I think it's time for the fans to let the big guns know that Rich is ready for this (we may know him as an announcer, but his biggest dream is to one day host his own show), and that's why I started Project Center Stage. It's a campaign where we can write to a couple of people on the inside who will ultimately make the final decision to say why Rich would be a great choice to be the next host of "Price". It is also my belief that Rich has what some of the other candidates don't have - the support of the Loyal Friends and True
